Spain — Costa del Sol
Continental Europe's finest golf destination. Valderrama — cork oaks, Seve's home ground, 1997 Ryder Cup — is the most prestigious course in Europe outside the UK. The Sotogrande cluster offers four strong courses within 30 minutes, warm weather from March to November, and an Andalusian lifestyle that rivals anywhere in the world for post-round culture.

WHAT A TRIP LOOKS LIKE
Arrive Málaga
Fly into Málaga, pick up cars or a minibus, and head west into Andalusia. The drive from the airport to Sotogrande is one of the more pleasant arrivals in European golf — white villages on hillsides, Mediterranean visible on your right, mountains ahead. Check in and dinner tonight.
Real Club de Golf Sotogrande
Robert Trent Jones Sr.'s 1964 design is the oldest and most traditional course on the circuit — mature cork oaks, classic RTJ bunkering, and a clubhouse atmosphere that reminds you this part of Spain has been a serious golf destination for sixty years.
Real Club de Golf Las Brisas
RTJ Sr.'s 1968 Las Brisas layout near Puerto Banús is a former Spanish Open venue with sweeping Sierra Blanca mountain views from the back nine. Excellent conditioning and a more accessible green fee than Valderrama — the ideal warm-up round before the big one.
Real Club Valderrama
The 1997 Ryder Cup venue and the most revered course in continental Europe. Cork oaks line every fairway at a width that demands precision — Seve Ballesteros called this home and his ghost is still in the 17th fairway. Caddies are recommended; the slopes are deceptive and the greens run faster than they look.
Finca Cortesin Golf Club
Host of the 2023 Solheim Cup and the most luxurious golf experience on the Costa del Sol — Cabell Robinson's design uses the Estepona hills with genuine drama, and the resort hotel handles groups better than anywhere else in the region.
La Reserva de Sotogrande
An inland club course with parkland character and views toward the Strait of Gibraltar — a beautifully maintained members' layout that visiting groups can access, and a relaxed penultimate round before an evening in the Sotogrande harbour.
Alcaidesa Links Golf
Alcaidesa is the only links course on the Costa del Sol — a genuine Atlantic-facing layout with Gibraltar and the Moroccan coast visible on a clear day. The green fee is modest, the views are extraordinary, and it makes for a fittingly distinctive closing round.
Depart Málaga
Morning drive to the airport. The Costa del Sol circuit offers a combination of European golf prestige, Andalusian food culture, and warm weather that no other destination on the continent quite matches.
GROUPS 12+ — Groups of 12 or more will need a private minibus and driver based in Sotogrande for the week — the distances between courses are short but Spanish parking at premium clubs is not designed for twelve-man car convoys. Book Valderrama access through Niblick six months ahead; it is not bookable directly by visiting groups.
